On August 1, the Renal Center of Morristown started offering a new service to its New Jersey patients: therapeutic (clinical) apheresis. Apheresis, derived from Greek word "aphairesis" meaning "a taking away," is a technique in which whole blood is taken from the body, sections are segregated with some removed, and the remaining fluid is returned to your body.
